The Creative Craft Show is the North West haven for knitting, cross stitch, papercraft, jewellery, textile, dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts; offering the latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to tools and accessories plus opportunities to glean advice from industry experts!

At the show
Grans on the Make 2020
The grans will be linking up with Dementia UK to work on their next charity project ‘In Our Hearts’. The project will celebrate and remember all of those who we have lost or are in the process of losing to dementia. The aim is to create a giant heart made up of lots of smaller handmade hearts be it felted, crocheted, knitted etc. Makers will be encouraged to add a name tag to personalise their heart for a loved one. As always 100% of proceeds will go to charity.
CALLIGRAPHY COMES TO MANCHESTER
Come and join The Modern Calligraphy Company for their pop-up nib and brush workshops and find out why the nation’s fallen in love with this creative and relaxing skill. Using templates and worksheets developed by world renowned calligrapher Kirsten Burke, you’ll be introduced to the tools and techniques used to create modern calligraphy. Before you know it, you’ll be designing greetings cards, party invites and motivational artworks to give to the ones you love! Choose from pointed nib or brush pen – or try both!
UPCYCLE WITH HEALEY DELL CRAFT CENTRE
Healey Dell Craft Centre is situated in the heart of the Rochdale countryside. They will be bringing their knowledge of up-cycling furniture to Manchester, showing visitors how to give old pieces a new lease of life. Healey Dell also run handcraft workshops, covering a wide range of crafts and paint techniques. Head to their stand to be inspired!
EXPERIMENTAL MIXED MEDIA
We are lucky to have mixed media and textile artist Rachael Singleton at our Manchester show. Rachael works with layered papers, fabrics and mediums. She is inspired by close observations from nature and finds reoccurring themes of containment and line in her work. She is a fountain of knowledge and creativity.

Get hands-on at one of the many on stand Make & Take sessions and create a masterpiece to take home. The perfect chance to try before you buy! Head to the stand you are interested in to book your space on arrival at the show.
Print & Repeat
‘Print & Repeat’ is a fabulous collection of silk screen printed scarves by Dionne Swift’s students from around the world… discover the delights of these accessible methods that you can try at home.
The Guild welcomes everyone with an interest in embroidery and are proud to be recognized as a voice for raising the profile of textile and stitched art. They hold a historical collection, aid research, support students and publish ‘Stitch’ and ‘Embroidery’ magazines.
The Beauty of Textile
Pat Archibald is an Internationally renowned textile artist, who travels worldwide to exhibit and teach. On her stand she will be demonstrating a variety of techniques, including painted Lutradur, Markal paintsticks, gilding and foiling fabrics and how to use her unique Transfer Templates. Intrigued? You’ll have to visit her to find out more!
Silver Clay Jewellery
Watch Master Silver Clay Artist, Tracey Spurgin, craft this amazing medium into finished pieces. Witness the firing of the silver clay to create hallmark quality fine silver jewellery. Be inspired to create your own using everyday basic tools.
Tracey leads glass workshops that explore working with stained glass using the Tiffany style technique. Join her at the show to create your own design, using pre-cut glass pieces, to learn how to tape copper foil on glass, solder and enhance with silver coloured metals.
