The Creative Craft Show is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to glean advice from industry experts.

Glass Garden Studios Workshops
Tracey Quinn from Glass Garden Studio leads glass workshops that explore working with stained glass using the Tiffany style technique. Join her at the show to create your own design using pre-cut glass pieces. Learn how to tape copper foil on glass, solder and enhance your design with silver coloured metals.

Sally Boehme’s work has featured in Vogue, Bead, Beadwork and WI Life magazines. She teaches beadwork and polymer clay techniques from home in Herefordshire, and at venues nationally. She uses glass beads, lead crystals, pearls, semi-precious stones, polymer clay, fabric and wire to create striking designs.

Look out for our ever-popular Folk It workshops for adults and children. They are perfect for inspiring creativity, mindfulness, and being in the moment. No previous drawing or painting skills needed. Totally addictive, and a great way to take some time out from your busy life and relax.
Annette Smyth Art & Craft Workshops
Award-wining textile artist and costume designer Bex Raven, the ‘Queen of Rust’, believes unleashing our inner creativity is the route to happiness. Her work is vibrant and, above all, fun. From textile collage to teaser corsets, Bex has it all.
Bob Neill – Pyrography
One of our country’s leading pyrography artists, Bob will be demonstrating various pyrography techniques and displaying pieces of his amazing work. You can have a go yourself during one of his on-going mini-workshops, or book into his Masterclass Wooden Pebble session in our Creative Den.
British Polymer Clay Guild
The Guild was formed in 1997 and is open to everyone interested in the use of polymer clay, from beginners to professionals. A hugely versatile material, polymer clay can be used for jewellery, sculpture, miniatures, home decor, and many other things. Demos will be running on-stand each day.

In Our Hearts
The Grans will be linking up with Dementia UK to work on their next charity project, ‘In Our Hearts’. The project will celebrate and remember all of the loved ones we have lost to dementia. The aim is to create a giant heart made up of lots of smaller handmade hearts, whether it be felted, crocheted, knitted etc. Makers will be encouraged to add a name tag, to personalise their heart for a loved one. As always, 100% of the proceeds will go to charity.
Come and join us at the Hochanda Hub, where you can meet expert presenters, have a go on our famous Tombola, and take part in interactive Make & Takes. Demonstrations will be taking place all day every day, so come down and say hi!

This is a unique opportunity to see the Woman’s Weekly vintage exhibition. A few years ago, WW asked readers to send in Woman’s Weekly patterns and fabrics from the past. Working closely with dressmakers and an archivist, they have put together a capsule exhibition that will take you on a trip down memory lane.
Sew Your Style Competition 2020
Now in its third year, this competition – in association with The Pattern Pages – gives you the chance to show off your sewing style, flair and creativity. With judging on the first day, and £3,000 of prizes up for grabs, it’s primed to be an exciting competition!

What do I need to do to validate my ticket?
You need to make sure that you have confirmation that you are attending an event at the NEC with you when
you are travelling (as the conductor may ask you for this on the train). So, please make sure you have your
exhibitor/visitor passes or email confirmation with you.
The NEC is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre, just off junction 6 of the M42 and is clearly signposted.

Get hands-on at a Make & Take or workshop and create your own crafty masterpiece!
There’s a wide range of creative crafts to try, with lots of help and encouragement from the experts.
Workshops can only be booked at the show – on the day you attend visit the stand number of the workshop you wish to book.
Create a pixel mosaic key ring or fridge magnet! Suitable for any experience level and for ages 5+. Come and try this exciting technique! £2.50 per person.
Join Lavinia Stamps to learn skills, techniques and tips on stamping, using several products to create magical backgrounds, stamping with fairies and flowers, something Lavinia Stamps is recognised for.
Have you ever wanted to have a go at silk ribbon embroidery, but have not been too sure where to start? The Common Thread is running a Make and Take, giving you the opporutnity to have a go at trying this gentle style of embroidery. “Roses in June” is a pretty covered button stitched with silk ribbon roses and leaves. It comes fully kitted with everything you will need to stitch this design and Tanya will be on hand to guide you through this lovely form of embroidery.
Claritystamp Ltd will once again be offering make and take sessions using the Groovi Parchment System throughout the show on their stand.
You will have the opportunity to create a memorable piece of parchment art using the latest Groovi plates under the supervision of our expert TV crafters.
Children and adults welcome. Glittering onto acetate with a choice of designs, which look great on Glass and lots of other materials. £2.00 per person, no need to book, classes running throughout the day.

Learn how to knit an infinity scarf in less than an hour using your arms! No knitting needles involved – great for knitters and non-knitters; adults and teenagers alike. Workshops throughout each day, £10.00 per person and you will walk away wearing your incredibly attractive (and clever) infinity scarf. The bead selection are running make & takes on a first come basis with classes all through the day. We are making a Sparkling Bracelet in a selection of colour choices using Rhino stone Crystal Rondell’s.
