The Creative Craft Show is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to glean advice from industry experts.

Glass Garden Studios Workshops
Tracey Quinn from Glass Garden Studio leads glass workshops that explore working with stained glass using the Tiffany style technique. Join her at the show to create your own design, using pre-cut glass pieces, to learn how to tape copper foil on glass, solder and enhance with silver coloured metals.

The Modern Calligraphy Co.
These fun and inspirational workshops with Maisie Minette from The Modern Calligraphy Co, will take you through using either dip pen or brush pens. Looking at letter-forms and colour blending, this is the perfect introduction to modern calligraphy! Booking coming soon…
FOLK IT – MINDFUL CRAFTS
Look out for our ever-popular Folk Art workshops for adults and children. They are perfect for creativity, mindfulness and being in the moment. No previous drawing or painting skills needed. It’s great fun and very addictive!
Annette Smyth Art & Craft Workshops
Annette Smyth offers fun workshops in fabric sculpting and mixed media working in 2D and 3D; Denise Lieberman, teaches needle felting and Ros Ingram, ceramics. On-stand demonstrations throughout the show.
Award wining textile artist and costume designer Bex Raven, the ‘Queen of Rust’, believes unleashing our inner creativity is the route to happiness. Her work is vibrant and, above all, fun. From textile collage to teaser corsets, Bex has it all.
Bob Neill – pyrography
One of our countries leading pyrography artists, Bob will be demonstrating various pyrography techniques and displaying pieces of his amazing work. You can have a go yourself in one of his on-going mini-workshops or book into his Masterclass Wooden Pebble class in our Creative Den.
British Polymer Clay Guild
The Guild was formed in 1997 and is open to everyone interested in the use of Polymer Clay, from beginners to professionals. Polymer clay can be used for jewellery, sculpture, miniatures, home decor and many other things. Demos will be running on stand each day.

In Our Hearts
The Grans will be linking up with Dementia UK to work on their next charity project ‘In Our Hearts’. The project will celebrate and remember all of those who we have lost or are in the process of losing to dementia. The aim is to create a giant heart made up of lots of smaller handmade hearts be it felted, crocheted, knitted etc. Makers will be encouraged to add a name tag to personalise their heart for a loved one. As always 100% of proceeds will go to charity.
Come and join us at the Hochanda Hub where you can meet expert presenters, have a go on our famous Tombola and take part in interactive Make & Takes. Demonstrations will be taking place all day every day so come down and say hi!
Tracey is a qualified senior Art Clay and PMC instructor. With 20 plus year’s experience, she teaches at Craftworx studio in East Yorkshire, and travels extensively in the UK, as well as being a guest designer on Jewellery Maker TV.

Madeira Competition 2020 – Glimpses of the Islands
This year we are challenging you to create an embroidered piece inspired by Islands of the world – From the Seychelles to Santorini, the Caribbean to Capri or places closer to home, islands have to potential to transport us to our own personal paradise, whether it’s sublime beaches, luxuriant jungles, exotic wildlife or cultures – show us your Glimpses of the Islands in a beautifully embroidered piece that could WIN you the coveted Madeira Rose Bowl trophy and one of our fabulous prizes.
Creativity on the Catwalk
See innovative students’ creations paraded in our daily catwalk shows in Fashion & Embroidery, along with exciting collections from exhibitors. Friday lunchtime our catwalk hosts the final of this year’s Student Fashion Design Competition: In the Footsteps of Dior!
Woman’s Weekly Vintage Exhibition
This is a unique opportunity to see the Woman’s Weekly vintage exhibition. A few years ago, WW asked readers to send in Woman’s Weekly patterns and fabrics from the past. Working closely with dressmakers and an archivist, they have put together a capsule exhibition that will take you on a walk down memory lane.
Sew Your Style Competition 2020
Now in it’s 3rd year, this competition in association with The Pattern Pages, gives visitors the chance to show your sewing style, flair and creativity. With judging on the first day and £3,000 of prizes up for grabs up for grabs it’s primed to be an exciting competition.
West Midlands & Warwickshire Federation of WI’s
The WI is a democratic, social and educational charity that provides numerous opportunities to make new friends, learn a variety of new skills and to develop skills you already have! Warwickshire and West Midlands Federations of WI’s join together at Sewing for Pleasure to display their creative talents and promote membership of the WI.

What do I need to do to validate my ticket?
You need to make sure that you have confirmation that you are attending an event at the NEC with you when
you are travelling (as the conductor may ask you for this on the train). So, please make sure you have your
exhibitor/visitor passes or email confirmation with you.
The NEC is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre, just off junction 6 of the M42 and is clearly signposted.
