The Creative Craft Show is a haven for knitting, cross stitch, paper crafting, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world! You’ll find everything from kits, charts and patterns to fabrics, yarns, threads and buttons plus opportunities to glean advice from industry experts.

Children under 16 go free when accompanied by an adult.

Crafter’s TV by Crafter’s Companion

Crafter’s TV is a digital crafting channel, developed by Crafter’s Companion to entertain, educate and inspire. With regular scheduling and show formats, the channel is currently streamed through Facebook, YouTube, and via the homepage and Crafter’s TV section of the Crafter’s Companion website across the globe. The show stand will be hosted by Crafter’s Companion founder and creative director, Sara Davies, with appearances from a number of familiar crafty faces. Find out more and sign up here:

Glass Garden Studios Workshops

Tracey Quinn from Glass Garden Studio leads glass workshops that explore working with stained glass using the Tiffany style technique. Join her at the show to create your own design using pre-cut glass pieces. Learn how to tape copper foil on glass, solder and enhance your design with silver coloured metals.

Sally Boehme’s work has featured in Vogue, Bead, Beadwork and WI Life magazines. She teaches beadwork and polymer clay techniques from home in Herefordshire, and at venues nationally.  She uses glass beads, lead crystals, pearls, semi-precious stones, polymer clay, fabric and wire to create striking designs.


The Pebeo Zone

This art zone will feature a Derwent stand, Deco by Pebeo, The Art Shop Skipton area, Pebeo Mixed Media, and the Art Experience! Demonstrations and workshops will be running throughout each day. An unmissable chance to try products, ask questions, learn and enjoy! 

The Modern Calligraphy Co.

These fun and inspirational workshops with Maisie Minette from The Modern Calligraphy Co. will take you through using either dip pen or brush pens. Looking at letter-forms and colour blending, this is the perfect introduction to modern calligraphy! Book here

Folk It heart


Look out for our ever-popular Folk It workshops for adults and children. They are perfect for inspiring creativity, mindfulness, and being in the moment. No previous drawing or painting skills needed. Totally addictive, and a great way to take some time out from your busy life and relax. 

Annette Smyth Art & Craft Workshops

Annette Smyth and Ros Ingram provide workshops in fabric sculpting, air-dry clay, ceramics and print making. During the show they will be running mini workshops on the stand.

Bex Raven

Award-wining textile artist and costume designer Bex Raven, the ‘Queen of Rust’, believes unleashing our inner creativity is the route to happiness. Her work is vibrant and, above all, fun. From textile collage to teaser corsets, Bex has it all.

Bob Neill – Pyrography

One of our country’s leading pyrography artists, Bob will be demonstrating various pyrography techniques and displaying pieces of his amazing work. You can have a go yourself during one of his on-going mini-workshops, or book into his Masterclass Wooden Pebble session in our Creative Den.

British Polymer Clay Guild

The Guild was formed in 1997 and is open to everyone interested in the use of polymer clay, from beginners to professionals.  A hugely versatile material, polymer clay can be used for jewellery, sculpture, miniatures, home decor, and many other things.  Demos will be running on-stand each day.

New Exhibitor: Jamie Boots

Originally from New Zealand Jamie is a self-taught artist whose work is produced in graphite pencil. Jamie first exhibited his work in 2004 and has won a number of awards.  In a very short period of time a hobby became a profession and with a limited number of originals being available each year his drawings have become highly collectable.  Many of Jamie’s pictures are available as limited edition prints in galleries throughout the UK.f

In Our Hearts

The Grans will be linking up with Dementia UK to work on their next charity project, ‘In Our Hearts’. The project will celebrate and remember all of the loved ones we have lost to dementia. The aim is to create a giant heart made up of lots of smaller handmade hearts, whether it be felted, crocheted, knitted etc. Makers will be encouraged to add a name tag, to personalise their heart for a loved one. As always, 100% of the proceeds will go to charity.

Tracey is a qualified senior Art Clay and PMC instructor. With 20+ years’ experience, she teaches at Craftworx studio in East Yorkshire, and travels extensively in the UK. She is also a guest designer on Jewellery Maker TV!

Woman’s Weekly Vintage Exhibition

This is a unique opportunity to see the Woman’s Weekly vintage exhibition. A few years ago, WW asked readers to send in Woman’s Weekly patterns and fabrics from the past. Working closely with dressmakers and an archivist, they have put together a capsule exhibition that will take you on a trip down memory lane.

Sew Your Style Competition 2020

Now in its third year, this competition – in association with The Pattern Pages – gives you the chance to show off your sewing style, flair and creativity. With judging on the first day, and £3,000 of prizes up for grabs, it’s primed to be an exciting competition!

What do I need to do to validate my ticket?
You need to make sure that you have confirmation that you are attending an event at the NEC with you when
you are travelling (as the conductor may ask you for this on the train). So, please make sure you have your
exhibitor/visitor passes or email confirmation with you.

By Car:
The NEC is situated 8 miles east of Birmingham city centre, just off junction 6 of the M42 and is clearly signposted.

Get hands-on at a Make & Take or workshop and create your own crafty masterpiece!

There’s a wide range of creative crafts to try, with lots of help and encouragement from the experts.

Workshops can only be booked at the show – on the day you attend visit the stand number of the workshop you wish to book.
