12.45pm A SECRET GARDEN PINCUSHION

with Pat Lumsdale

Create this pretty hand-stitched pincushion using the Secret Garden English patchwork technique, derived from Cathedral Window patchwork. You can incorporate it into many other projects, such as bags, cushions and quilts. All Fabric provided by Pinflair, stand A38/B01 in the Creative Craft Show. Some experience of hand stitching preferable.

2.00pm USING FAIR ISLE CONFIDENTLY TO BE CREATIVE AND HAVE FUN

with Monica Russel

Fair Isle patterns are great for colour work. In this workshop you will learn how to change yarn colours confidently, read charts and chose colours to blend or contrast to add interest to your project. You will be given ideas of how to add Fair Isle designs to existing patterns to make them unique. We will discuss suitable projects for you to make using colour work.

3.15pm INDIAN BLOCK PRINTED TOTE BAG

with The Arty Crafty Place

In this workshop you will learn the traditional art of Indian Block Printing, using hand carved Indian wooden printing blocks to print a cotton Tote Bag with a selection of bright and colourful fabric paints, a mixture of seed heads, leaves and flower designs. Suitable for all abilities, whether you have printed before or not, it’s super fun and an easy way to be creative!
